Peak District National Park Authority wanting users views on popular rail-trail cycle paths

Having recognised how many people enjoy the Peak District cycle trails along former railway lines, the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) is keen to hear the views of those that use them – to find out what they like most about the trails, and what the PDNPA could do to make them even better.

They’re running a survey between 10am and 4pm on 20th Aug at:

• Ashbourne Cycle Hire Centre on the Tissington Trail (Ashbourne – Parsley Hay)
• Parsley Hay Cycle Hire Centre on the High Peak Trail (High Peak Junction, Cromford – Sparklow, nr Buxton)
• Millers Dale Station on the Monsal Trail (Bakewell to Topley Pike, nr Buxton)
• Carr Lane car park on the Thornhill Trail (Thornhill to Ladybower)

Or there’s a short online survey until the end of August if you want to make your views known, but won’t be near one of the survey points on 20th August.

The views collected are being used to help shape their plan of what to do with the trails over the next 5 years.
