Cookie Policy (UK)

Due to a change of cookie management plugin it seems that Google Maps cookies are now classed as “marketing”. As far as we are aware these are the only “marketing” cookies used on our site – we do not ourselves use cookies for marketing/advertising, nor do we do anything like build any individual profiles of visitors for things like selecting personalised content or adverts. But it is outside our control over what Google does with any information from users of its maps – for their policies, please see their own website.

After you accept Google Maps cookies, it will ask if you wish to share your location with us. There is absolutely no need to do this unless you wish Google Maps to calculate distances between where you are and any of the location information we provide whilst on our site. That is the only use we would make of any precise location, but Google insists on asking for the option to get your location – if I could change that I would!

We do not (to the best of our knowledge) use web beacons, but we are unable to change the text provided by the cookie management plugin!

The miscellaneous cookies starting WP_ we understand to be wordpress cookies – a user id, preferences, and language settings. The cmplz ones are from our cookie management plugin (but perhaps an older version – it really should recognise it’s own cookies!)
