This month the image gracing the front cover of TGO was taken by… me!
It was originally shot on another commission for TGO (of Carey Davies walking the Edale skyline) – a lovely summer’s day when the heather was in full flower. (Well, it was a lovely summer’s day at the start – it got rather wet part-way through the day, but that made for some pretty useful clouds at sunset…)
This image has been cropped a fair bit to fit the front cover, which makes Carey’s jump look even more adventurous than it really is! (In reality, it was about a two foot drop… but the camera angle makes it look rather larger…)
My first front cover on a UK outdoors mag – so pretty chuffed with that!
