The gallery of outdoor photography images below are from my trip out to the Andalucian region of Sierra Nevadas in summer 2009. This trip was just prior to setting up photography courses and workshops in the region, based in Lanjaron, which now cover the Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras region of Andalucia, (for more information on the photographic workshops, please see my outdoor photography workshops page) and these images highlight the wonderful scenery and light that is possible in the area around Lanjaron.
Some of these images required spending overnight in the mountains of Sierra Nevada to get – please note, we don’t force participants to do this, but there are options to enable this from a relatively easy walk-in on good tracks (staying in the manned Poqueira Hut), to backpacking with a tent, to full-on winter mountaineering – depending on participants mountaineering skill-level, current weather conditions and individual inclinations.
