Derby this weekend –Banks Mill Open Studios and 5 Parks Ride

Lots of things happening this weekend in Derby. Banks Mill (which I’m an associate member of) is having their twice annual Open Studios Event. It’s a really good opportunity to go and see the creative  businesses that operate out of the Mill –and purchase some of their work.

My presence at this event is a bit smaller than usual,due to heavy workload on the new cycling guidebook,and a cycling photography commission on Sunday,but my greetings cards will be there (mostly Derbyshire images),and are on special offer –£1.75 each instead of the normal £2.25. So go and grab a bargain or few!!

Also this weekend is Cycling Derby’s Big Day Out –a cycling festival for all in Derby. It sounds to be a great day out and with the help of the CTC,they’re organising a ride round the 5parks route in aid of Macmillan Cancer. This is a fun,gentle and easy way to discover some of the great cycling that Derby has to offer. I’ll be riding the route as one of the cycling marshalls –so look forward to seeing you there!
